Opinion: Score prediction for RB Leipzig vs Tottenham in the Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League this week, with the North London club already being one away goal down in the tie.

Leipzig came to the new White Hart Lane last month and played out a solid 1-0 victory against a depleted Jose Mourinho team, putting one foot into the next round.

Spurs will now have to somehow come up with goals away to the high-flying German side, as well as keeping goals conceded to a minimum.

This is not ideal when Tottenham are without a win in the last five and come into the game without Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, or Steven Bergwijn.

After making the final last season, Spurs will be determined to pull off an Amsterdam-style comeback in the second leg.

While I always try to be positive with these predictions, the form guide and the injury list tells me that Spurs will likely fade out of the Champions League with a whimper.

I am predicting a 2-1 RB Leipzig win, 3-1 on aggregate, with the Germans progressing.
