Opinion: Score prediction for Tottenham vs RB Leipzig in the Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2019/20 Champions League knockout journey starts again on Wednesday, as they welcome RB Leipzig to North London for the night.

Spurs fans will be hoping to see their side progress far past the first knockout round, but they will first have to best the German side on aggregate across two legs.

Supporters will remember that last season, at this stage, Tottenham dismantled Borussia Dortmund 3-0 at home in the first leg, before beating them away 1-0 too.

The Lilywhites would surely take that again this time around, although Leipzig have been flying high all season in the Bundesliga.

Tottenham come into the match off the back of three straight Premier League wins against Norwich City, Manchester City, and Aston Villa.

However, the injury to Heung Min Son comes as a huge blow, with the South Korean fracturing his arm against Villa on Sunday.

I believe that Spurs will take a narrow lead to Germany, but they will concede an away goal to Leipzig, winning the match 2-1. Goals will come from Dele Alli and Lucas Moura on the night.
