Opinion: Spurs’ best six-a-side teams from Redknapp, Pochettino, and Mourinho eras

Tottenham Hotspur have had some class players through the years, but arguably the two best groups of players to grace the pitch have been the Redknapp and Pochettino eras.

However, Spurs are now entering a new era under Jose Mourinho, with changes already being made in North London as the rebuild begins.

We thought we would create a six-a-side team from each of the three eras to see which would perform best.

For the Redknapp era, we have gone for Heurelho Gomes between the sticks, Ledley King in the centre of defence, Luka Modric and Rafa Van der Vaart in midfield, and Gareth Bale and Jermaine Defoe up front.

For the Pochettino era, Hugo Lloris goes in goal, with Toby Alderweireld in the centre of defence, Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen in midfield, with Harry Kane and Heung Min Son up top.

Finally, for the Mourinho era, we have picked largely from the players he has had available to him. In goal, we have gone for Paulo Gazzaniga, with Japhet Tanganga in the centre of defence, Ndombele and Dele Alli in midfield, Lo Celso pulling the strings, and the quick feet of Lucas Moura up top.

Which of these sides would do best in a six-a-side format?
