Opinion: Spurs player ratings from their 3-0 win over Leicester – Two ten ratings

Tottenham Hotspur put in one of their best displays since the Premier League restart today as they dismantled top-four side Leicester City.

While the team performance was worthy of a 3-0 win, let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:

Hugo Lloris – 9 – The Frenchman just does not look as though he is going to be beaten at the moment. If he has a sniff of the ball, he saves it.

Serge Aurier – 10 – He looked all over the place in the first half. I think with the tragic circumstances and his flights to and from France, it was too much of an ask today. However, the simple fact that he was out there fighting for Spurs is worth a 10.

Davinson Sanchez – 6 – Looks to be improving by the match but Sanchez always seems to have a nervy moment or an error in him. Big next season for him.

Toby Alderweireld – 7.5 – Solid as usual, both in the air and on the turf. Toby remains the steady head that a defensive Mourinho side needs at the back.

Ben Davies – 7.5 – After a few shaky performances, Davies needed a good game today. The Welshman delivered! He was solid down that left-hand side, especially in the air.

Harry Winks – 8.5 – Played the loan pivot role in the first-half masterfully, which looks to be his best position. Drifted a little alongside Sissoko in the second 45 but effort was good.

Moussa Sissoko – 5.5 – Not a great game from Sissoko today. Looked to struggle with the pace a little and didn’t do much in the way of tackling or ball carrying.

Giovani Lo Celso – 5.5 – Played in an advanced number 10 role in parts today, however, I just don’t think he looks at home there. The game passed him by.

Lucas Moura – 8 – His heading, tackling, ball carrying, and passing was all near-perfect today. He looks to be adding more to his game by the week under Mourinho and his effort levels are rarely surpassed by anyone on the pitch. That volley to put Kane in behind is worth a mention too.

Harry Kane – 10 – A complete centre-forward display. The pass for Son’s opening goal was perfect, the two finishes were incredible, and that blind through ball to Son was jaw-dropping. Kane is back to his best!

Heung-min Son – 8.5 – Son seems to be balancing his attacking and defensive duties better by the game. He put in a shift defensively on the left while also being a constant danger on the break. Superb game.
