Opinion: Spurs should sign this star on a free in the summer after summer links

Tottenham Hotspur need to go out and buy some big-name players in the next two transfer windows for me, but they also need to refresh their squad.

In my opinion, Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth is an absolute no-brainer after the season he had in 2018/19. The Scotsman scored seven and assisted 14 for the Cherries in 35 games last year (WhoScored).

In terms of midfielders and wide players, Spurs have to come off the bench, they are limited to Lucas Moura and/or Erik Lamela at the moment. I think they need more depth.

Fraser brings Premier League experience, creativity, attacking prowess, and hunger, as well as being just 25-years-old.

However, the biggest selling point of the Bournemouth man is that his contract runs out at the end of this season (Transfer Markt), much like Eriksen, Alderweireld, and Vertonghen.

If Spurs are going to lose players on a free, they simply must attempt to secure some bargains in return.

As an English club, Spurs won’t be able to contact the player over a free move until the end of the season, but they should definitely get in there quick to secure his signature.

Tottenham were actually linked with the player in the summer, along with Arsenal (Daily Star) and Liverpool (Scottish Sun).
