Opinion: The 20 players who should make Spurs’ matchday squad on PL return

Tottenham Hotspur are now just 13 days away from making their Premier League return against Manchester United, however, it won’t quite resemble the game that we’re used to.

It has already been announced that teams will be allowed to name nine players on the bench and make five substitutions per match, rather than the usual seven and three.

Therefore, Mourinho will have far more names at his disposal, allowing him to be more versatile with his on-pitch changes and tactics as players regain their fitness.

With this change to the rules, we wanted to take a look at the current Spurs squad and work out which 20 players are likely to be named on June 19.

Predicted Spurs matchday squad:

Harry Kane

Heung-min Son

Hugo Lloris

Serge Aurier
