Opinion: The dream combined Tottenham and Chelsea XI – Kane, Son, Ziyech

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea go head to head in a London derby at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with a win taking each of them to the summit of the Premier League.

With both clubs fighting it out for the Christmas number one spot, we thought that it was a great time to pick a combined Tottenham-Chelsea XI.

For his superb form since his return from injury this year, Hugo Lloris nails down the goalkeeping position, edging out Chelsea’s new shot-stopper, Mendy.

Ben Chilwell edges out Sergio Reguilon due to his Premier League experience and incredible attacking returns so far this season.

The experience of Toby Alderweireld is joined by the pace of Kurt Zouma in the centre of defence, while Reece James gets the nod over Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and N’Golo Kante form perhaps the strongest midfield partnership in the league, with Tanguy Ndombele pulling the strings ahead of them.

Heung-min Son and Harry Kane are obvious picks, leaving one spot open for Hakim Ziyech who we think would provide assists galore for his attacking teammates.

Gareth Bale, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Steven Bergwijn, and Lucas Moura all miss out on that final attacking spot.

What changes would you make?
