Opinion: The dream combined Tottenham and Man City XI

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City go head to head in the Premier League this weekend so we wanted to take a look at our current dream combined XI.

This lineup is chosen based on current form and fitness, meaning the likes of De Bruyne and Reguilon miss out through injury.

We have opted for an all-Man City defence for two main reasons. Pep Guardiola has his mean keeping consistent clean sheets and seeing out wins, while Mourinho watches Spurs’ backline collapse each week.

Therefore, Ederson, Zinchenko, Stones, Dias and Cancelo walk into the team both on merit and due to a lack of competition.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg serves as the perfect partner for a marauding Ilkay Gundogan in the centre of midfield, combining stability and a goal threat.

Tanguy Ndombele and Heung-min Son then partner the in-form Phil Foden behind Harry Kane up front, promising creativity and goals galore.

Raheem Sterling may be unlucky to drop to the bench, but we thought that the aforementioned three offered a little more balance.

What changes would you make?
