Opinion: The ultimate combined Tottenham and Manchester City XI

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Man City to the new stadium in North London this weekend, with the Lilywhites playing a little better of late.

Man City are far behind their title rivals Liverpool in the table, with second place seemingly the best prize on offer for Pep and his boys.

So, what would a combined Spurs and City XI look like?

I have gone for Ederson in goal as I believe he just edges the ageing Hugo Lloris out.

At the back, I have done away with full-backs, probably the weakest areas of both sides, and put in a three of Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, and Aymeric Laporte.

We then also have the ageless Fernandinho covering as a sweeper just in front of the defence.

Ahead of him, the creative sparks of Kevin De Bruyne and Giovani Lo Celso will make plenty of chances, and the front four certainly contains a few finishers.

Kane drops back into a number ten role, with Aguero leading the line and Raheem Sterling and Heung Min Son playing off the wings.

What a team!
