Opinion: These two players should never feature for Tottenham again

Tottenham Hotspur were on the end of another defeat today in the Premier League and the scoreline well and truly flattered the Lilywhites.

While it seems like Liverpool came from behind to snatch a narrow victory, in truth, the Reds bombarded Tottenham from start to finish at Anfield.

If not for some expert headed clearances by Alderweireld and Sanchez, as well as some great saves from Gazzaniga, it could have been another Bayern Munich result.

However, the thing the stands out above everything for me is that Tottenham right side.

Serge Aurier threw away any chance of a Tottenham result yet again today, as he did against Bayern and risked doing against Southampton. The man is a walking liability.

It baffles me each and every week when Pochettino overlooks Juan Foyth and Kyle Walker-Peters to name this guy in the starting XI.

He offers nothing to Tottenham. He doesn’t care. And he has zero defensive talent.

I realise that the back-up at right-back os few and far between, but Aurier has been so bad this past month that I would rather play Harry Kane there than him.

As for Christian Eriksen, the man clearly wants to leave the club in the summer, and that is absolutely fine. He has given some good years to Spurs and has every right to seek an exit.

However, Pochettino should now be planning for the future and playing other players ahead of the Great Dane, especially with his recent lazy performances.

Ndombele should have started all day for me, with the likes of Dier and Skipp also worth a shout above someone who is simply not fighting for his Tottenham future.

Be done with the both of them.
