Opinion: This is the best Tottenham XI currently available to Mourinho

Tottenham Hotspur are struggling for results at the moment, but there were positive signs both in the loss to Liverpool and the narrow win over Middlesbrough.

Despite the fact that Kane, Sissoko, Lloris, Ndombele and more are out injured, I still think Mourinho has the makings of a great XI.

Of course, my first choice goalkeeper in the absence of Lloris would be Paulo Gazzaniga, who has done a great job filling in.

I also think that a back three currently suits both Tottenham’s central defenders and full-backs, with my favourites being Sanchez, Alderweireld, and Tanganga. Serge Aurier and Ryan Sessegnon then feature as wing-backs high up the pitch.

Harry Winks acts as the pivot in central midfield in order to cover ground, break up attacks, and pass the ball off positively to the creators.

Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, and Giovani Lo Celso line up just in front, able to rotate and each drop back in to partner Winks in central midfield, making it difficult to track them.

Heung Min Son then leads the line, with Lucas Moura also an option up front.
