Opinion: Tottenham player ratings from the 3-1 loss against Bayern Munich

Tottenham fans perhaps should not get too bogged down in the full-time result against Bayern this evening due to the circumstances.

The Bayern team was far stronger than the one fielded by Mourinho, and there was nothing actually riding on the match itself.

However, we can break down the individual performances to see who impressed and who disappointed in Germany.

Paulo Gazzaniga – 7 – Made some nice stops and wasn’t at fault for any of the goals. Also seems very accurate with that long flat kick.

Kyle Walker-Peters – 4 – The more I see him, the weaker he looks at full-back. A decent squad player but nothing more.

Juan Foyth – 8 – Really impressive at the back tonight, far more composed and solid than normal and looks to be one for the future.

Toby Alderweireld – 7 – A solid performance in a back four that was let down by the two full-backs this evening.

Danny Rose – 2 – Never had a handle of Serge Gnabry and looked woeful from start to finish.

Eric Dier – 2 – I still struggle to see what he does in this team and why Mourinho is so keen on making him a first-team player. Awful again this evening.

Moussa Sissoko – 4 – One who should have been given a rest for me. Looked tired from minute one and I have no idea what was going through his head when he went through on goal.

Christian Eriksen – 5 – Looks to be walking towards his free summer transfer.

Giovani Lo Celso – 4 – I was disappointed with Gio tonight. For his first start under Mourinho, there seemed to be a lack of effort and work rate coming out of him.

Ryan Sessegnon – 8 – Superb in the first half and took his goal well, but tired in the second 45.

Lucas Moura – 5 – Not a striker and was isolated all day up top.

Substitutes:

Heung Min Son – 3 – Wasted two golden chances to make it 3-2.

Oliver Skipp – 6 – Looked very bright and full of running.

Victor Wanyama – N/A
