Opinion: Tottenham’s best available XI if every player is fit and in-form

Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Jose Mourinho, has not yet had the chance to field an XI from a fully available Spurs squad.

There have always been injuries affecting the Special One’s decisions, whether it be to Ben Davies, Harry Kane, Tanguy Ndombele, Heung Min Son, Moussa Sissoko, or someone else.

Therefore, we wanted to take a look at what we would consider to be the best possible starting XI for Jose if everyone was fit and firing.

Hugo Lloris starts in goal, with a back four of Davies, Alderweireld, Sanchez, and Tanganga.

I don’t think that Aurier is good enough in a flat back four. The above four have a complete emphasis on defending, while Davies whips in a nice ball when he does get forward and Tanganga has pace to burn if given license on the right.

Harry Winks lines up in midfield with Tanguy Ndombele, the former there to sit in and provide cover, while the latter has a license to do what he does best.

Giovani Lo Celso offers another creative outlet coming in from the right-hand side, leaving room for a Tanganga overlap.

Dele Alli lines up in his actual position, attacking midfield/centre-forward, so we can see the best of him as we did in Mourinho’s opening games.

Harry Kane, of course, leads the line, and Heung Min Son is there to provide goals and assists from the left.

Of course, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura are also available to come into attack.
