Opinion: Who should be dropped as Son returns to the starting line up?

Finally, we will be able to see Son back in the Premier League! A moment that many fans have been looking forward to since the start of the season.

He can shoot with both feet and has pace to burn. He may also be the answer in helping the team performing more smoothly from now on.

With Son returning back from suspension, it is incredibly likely that he will start against Newcastle. The question is who is he going to replace?

As Newcastle are the opposition and they are in the relegation zone, it would make sense to have an attacking focus. Having Winks, Sissoko and Ndombele in the team seems unnecessary, so it makes sense to rest one of the three. I would start with Winks and Ndombele.

Playing a team who have not had a great start to the season would be ideal for Ndombele as he acclimatises to the league and Winks will prove invaluable in threading passes against a team that is likely to have 11 men behind the ball!

An attacking approach of: Kane, Son, Eriksen and Lamela would be excellent, especially with being able to bring either Lucas or Lo Celso on when Son starts to tire. This would also enable Spurs to play the 4-2-3-1 formation, which they look more comfortable in.

Son could potentially also play up top with Kane but his pace out wide could be a fantastic asset against a team who have been playing with wing-backs. If they get caught up the pitch and Spurs break then Son will get the chance to do what he does best, score and continue to endear himself to fans worldwide!
