Tottenham Hotspur clinched an uncomfortable win against Wolves yesterday as the newly promoted side fought back late on.
Spurs ran riot to a 3-0 lead in the match and seemed to be in cruise control, only to take their foot off the pedal.
Young Argentine defender Juan Foyth gave away two penalties in the second half to provide a late scare for Tottenham.
They entered the last ten minutes now only 3-2 up, but managed to just about secure all three points.
This was Foyth’s first ever Premier League start, and it isn’t a debut he will look back on with fondness.
The defender was rewarded with a rare start after impressing against West Ham in the Carabao Cup, a match in which he earned the man of the match award.
Foyth started the game off well against Wolves but showed slight immaturity and inexperience when giving away some soft but sloppy penalties.
Argentinian Spurs legend Ossie Ardiles took to twitter to comment on his fellow countryman.
Yesterday positives: 1) Hugo LLoris, superb. 2) @HarryWinks, getting better and better with every game. 3) @ErikLamela, another goal and having his best season for us so far. 4) @JuanMFoyth, had an excellent game until the penalties. Has to learn. He will. COYS COYS COYS
