Ossie hoping for glory glory nights at the Lane

Tottenham Champions League

Ossie Ardiles has backed Tottenham to do well in the Champions League.

The former Spurs manage and fan favourite still holds his former club in high regard and believes that there are some glory glory nights ahead for the White Hart Lane faithful.

Ossie also backed Harry Redknapp and admits that it’s difficult to try and bring in some extra quality to improve on the playing staff which we’ve aleady got.

“I think that we are going to do very well, and I’m very confident,” said Ardiles.

“Harry is confident. We are in Europe for the first time in a long time, and it’s going to be a very good season I would say.”

He said: “I think we can go a long, long way. You have to be very positive all the time, and obviously we have to win the first two games now against the Young Boys of Switzerland and after that we take it from there.

“You never know to be perfectly honest. The Champions League has a lot of incredibly good teams, and it’s a hard competition to be playing in. I hope we go on as long as possible.”

“I think Harry is looking and looking and looking. Right now it is not very easy to buy a player unless you spend money like Manchester City.

“Harry is trying and I believe he is looking for someone who can improve the team as whoever is coming has to be better than what we have already got. It has to be someone very, very good.”
