‘Other targets on their list’ – Alasdair Gold provides update on Adama Traore to Spurs

Alasdair Gold from FootballLondon has provided an update on the links between Adama Traore and Tottenham Hotspur this week.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a potential move for the Spaniard in the January transfer window, with reports suggesting that Antonio Conte wants to utilise the wide man as a right-wing-back.

TeamTalk also reported that Spurs had offered Wolves the chance to include Joe Rodon, Matt Doherty, Ryan Sessegnon or Japhet Tanganga in a deal, with 90 Mins reinforcing the first two names.

Gold has now claimed that Fabio Paratici is attempting to pull off a trademark loan deal with an obligation to buy in the summer, thus freeing up funds for other moves this month.

Jorge Mendes, Traore’s agent, reportedly has a good relationship with Paratici, while he is also the agent of Tottenham’s Matt Doherty.

Gold added that Spurs will have other targets on their list, but Traore is the main one. Peterborough teenager Benjamin Mensah is viewed as a potential option for the future.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If this deal does not get done then Spurs have done something very wrong. It appears Conte wants him and, while I’m not sure if Traore is the best choice, we have to give Conte what he wants.
