‘Our Champions League future depends on it’ – Poch on PSV

Tottenham Hotspur enter an exciting Champions League crunch game this evening with everything on the line.

Spurs currently sit on zero points in their group after losing to Inter Milan and Barcelona, but still have every chance of qualifying.

The most realistic scenario for the Lilywhites would be to beat PSV home and away, before seeing off Inter Milan convincingly at Wembley to take second spot.

Who knows, a big win against Barcelona at the Nou Camp could still see Spurs top the group, after all, they got a result away to both Madrid and Juventus last season.

It’s important for Spurs that the competition is still in their own hands, and the group still presents a very realistic chance of qualification to the knock outs.

Pochettino will be hoping that they can get things up and running with a big result away to PSV this evening.

The Telegraph report he said: “My approach is must-win, always, and I think the players need to feel the same, with freedom to play and knowing the consequences will be different if we win or lose.

“For us is a game where we need to get the three points, and the players have to think like that if we want to be alive in this competition. Our Champions League future depends on the result of Wednesday.

“To be in professional football is about always playing under pressure and under stress. Both teams are under pressure to win.”
