Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been taking to social media this evening after the club confirmed the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as their new head coach.
The appointment of the 47-year-old has concluded the North Londoners 72-day search for a replacement to Jose Mourinho, who was dismissed just days before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Nuno has been a free agent since he left Wolverhampton Wanderers by mututal consent last month having previously led them to promotion to the Premier League and two appearances in the Europa League before experiencing a tough campaign last time out which saw them finish in 13th-place in the league
Over the past ten weeks during the managerial search, supporters had seen the club linked with a host of names including Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Haag, Roberto Martinez, Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca and Gennaro Gattuso.
Here is how some Spurs fans have reacted to the news.

What will happen first…Levy sacking/scapegoating Nuno or the naming rights to the new stadium? 🤔 #Coys

We finally have a manager. Now sign some players, back him 100% and let’s move to a positive season!
Regardless of people’s opinions on him, we all must back him 100%. Welcome to Tottenham Nuno!

Mason and Ledley both better options. At a certain point it becomes about chemistry and not tactics.. keep an interim homegrown and wait a year for Poch to roll off of the PSG contract. This isn't rocket science.
