‘Out of my comfort zone’ – Poch on why he wants a change

Tottenham Hotspur fans would have been excited at the start of this season to move into their brand new 62,000 seat stadium.

State-of-the-art, on the site of the old White Hart Lane, a new place to call home, Spurs fans are still waiting for all of these things.

The stadium was originally supposed to open against Liverpool on September 15, but delay after delay has pushed that date all the way back to March now.

It is unclear whether Spurs will even get to move into the new ground this season or not, something that will have fans divided.

With Spurs in such good form at Wembley, some supporters may believe a national ground stay would be the best option for the club. Others may see the new stadium as a chance to lift the squad even further.

Pochettino definitely is not on the fence, as he believes Spurs should be delighted to move to the new ground, and out of their comfort zones.

He said (Football London): “Why? Because I’m a positive person. I believe that I can find a better place to play, a better situation, better things. If you are a person who is scared to go outside your comfort zone, it’s difficult to find something different. For me I am a person who always tries to cross the line, to put myself in a difficult situation, to be out of my comfort zone. That is why I am here. If not, you know if you are scared to cross this line, it’s so difficult to improve, to learn. For me, always think that in a place that I don’t know is going to be the happiness is going to be the positive things or better than today.”
