‘Outstanding’ – Fans impressed by performance of on-loan Spurs man

Some Celtic fans on social media were left impressed by the performance of Tottenham loanee, Cameron Carter-Vickers in their 2-0 win over Motherwell on Saturday.

Carter-Vickers, who has been particularly impressed in his last two loan spells at Luton Town and Bournemouth, completed a temporary move to Celtic on transfer deadline day this summer, with the Scottish giants having the option to buy him permanently.

The 23-year-old had a fairytale start to his time at Celtic Park, scoring and helping his side to keep a clean sheet in his debut for the Hoops against Ross County last month.

Since then, the Tottenham academy graduate has been a regular in Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven and has consistently delivered solid performances.

His performance against Motherwell on Saturday was arguably his best yet since his move up North, with the on-loan Tottenham man looking dominant in duals and composed on the ball.

Based on the reaction of some Celtic fans to Carter-Vickers’ display, it looks like the USA international has already won over many of the Parkhead faithful.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given how well Carter-Vickers did in his last two stints in the Championship, I fully expected him to be hit the ground running in Scotland.

One would expect Celtic to take up the option to buy him at the end of the season if he keeps up the same level of performance.
