Some Welsh fans have waxed lyrical over Joe Rodon’s display in the Nations League game Bulgaria yesterday evening after they emerged as 1-0 winners.
Reports indicate that Tottenham Hotspur are confident of securing a move for Rodon before tomorrow’s 5pm transfer deadline, with the central defender keen on making the switch to Spurs.
The Athletic revealed that Spurs are confident of getting the deal over the line, which could see the 22-year-old head back to Liberty Stadium on loan.
Rodon has certainly done his reputation no harm during the international break after being given the nod to start by Ryan Giggs in the friendly against England last week as well as their Nations League clashes against Ireland and Bulgaria.
The young defender started in the heart of Welsh defence as part of a back three which also featured Ben Davies in Sofia last night.
The Welsh came away with three crucial points courtesy of a late strike by Jonny Williams.
