‘Pain’ – Some Spurs fans react to update over Dybala’s future

It looks like some Spurs fans are still yet to get over the North Londoners’ failure to get a deal for Paulo Dybala over the line in the summer of 2019.

Tottenham reportedly came very close to signing the Argentine with the deal eventually falling through on transfer deadline day due to complications with the forward’s image rights (Independent).

However, Dybala turned a corner after his move to Spurs fell through and enjoyed an impressive campaign last time out with Juventus, even taking home the Serie A Player of the Season award.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via The Express) reported a couple of months ago that the Lilywhites could be set to rekindle their interest in the Argentina international, with Juve looking to cash-in on him during the summer transfer window.

However, the 26-year-old once again ended up staying put at Turin and it now looks like he could commit his future to Andrea Pirlo’s side.

Juventus director Fabio Paratici (Sky Sport Italia via Fabrizio Romano) has now stated that the Serie A giants are in talks over a new deal with Dybala.

Some Spurs fans were disappointed to hear the news, while others seemingly still held some hope that the forward might come to North London.
