‘Painful’ – Vice-captain Cristian Romero sends honest message to Spurs fans after Fulham loss

Cristian Romero admitted that he and his teammates are hurting after the 3-0 defeat to Fulham but he vowed to bounce back from the loss.

Spurs fans were arguably the most optimistic they had been all season going into the clash at Craven Cottage on the back of the Lilywhites’ statement performance at Villa Park.

However, the team delivered an extremely lacklustre display, with Fulham handing the visitors a massive reality check.

Not only did Marco Silva’s men put three past Tottenham but the North London club also failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League for the first time since Ange Posteoclgou took over last summer.

The performance showed that Postecoglou and the coaching staff still have a lot of work to do if they are to get Spurs to challenge the best sides in the division.
