Pair linked with possible Spurs move react to historic win over Ajax

Wednesday night was one of the greatest nights in Spurs’ history as they came back from 3 goals down on aggregate at half-time to battle back against Ajax to qualify for the Champions League finals.

The final whistle was met with scenes of wild celebrations from the players, fans as well as the coaching staff with manager Mauricio Pochettino breaking into tears in the post-match interview.

The celebrations continued into the dressing room after the match as many Spurs players took to social media to convey their delight at the historic result, including Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.

It appears that Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, and Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell, both reacted to Alli’s post.

Both players are said to be summer targets for Tottenham.

Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in Grealish (The Daily Mail), who Spurs tried in vain to sign last summer while Chilwell is also said to be interesting Manchester City (The Telegraph).

Spurs Web Opinion

Chilwell will probably be beyond Tottenham’s reach in the summer given the fee being touted for the left back at the moment. However, it will be interesting to see if Spurs go back in for Grealish in the summer, who will probably want to leave Villa if they fail to achieve promotion.

Regardless, the exposure the club gets from being involved in the Champions League final will certainly not do their prospects of landing their summer targets any harm.
