Paris FC offer Mathys Tel a unique selling point to get him out of Tottenham Hotspur

A fresh report has shed light on why uncertainty continues to surround Mathys Tel’s situation at Tottenham, with questions emerging over his role despite recent involvement.

Thomas Frank’s focus this winter window will be to strengthen his current Tottenham Hotspur squad and not weaken it any further.

Spurs are already stretched thin this winter, especially in attack, as injuries have left several of their main options sidelined.

Richarlison only pulled his hamstring against Aston Villa in the FA Cup and joins Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski on the treatment table.

What Paris FC are looking to offer Mathys Tel

In his last four games, Frank has had to turn to Mathys Tel, who has done a job from the left for Spurs and even managed a goal during that run, coming against Bournemouth.

However, it is understood that the young Frenchman is not happy with his game time in north London and is looking to secure a move elsewhere.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg has now revealed what he knows about Tel’s desire to move away from Spurs, explaining what we already know: that Paris FC are working on a loan move for the Tottenham forward.

The journalist also claims that the French outfit’s main selling point is offering the 20-year-old a chance to play in his preferred position as a striker, with his core frustration not only centred on a lack of minutes, but above all the fact that he is rarely used as a number nine.

Tottenham are still blocking every enquiry for now, as they want to keep Tel at the club. His contract runs until 2031.’

Tottenham stance as Mathys Tel’s future remains unclear

Spurs, on the other hand, are reluctant to part ways and are believed to be blocking every enquiry for now, as they want to keep Tel at the club, with his current contract running until 2031.

It is a World Cup year, and it is understandable if the Frenchman is desperate to play more football as he looks to force his way into the French national senior team.

However, Spurs are already thin in attack and will only stretch themselves further if they let the forward depart from north London.

Richarlison’s injury could afford Tel the opportunity to play as a striker, although competition remains in the Spurs squad for that role, with Muani and Dominic Solanke also options available to Frank.
