Parrott reveals he is always able to approach ‘open’ Tottenham duo for advice

Troy Parrott has revealed he is often able to ask Harry Kane and Heung-min Son for advice on what it takes to be a top forward because they always make themselves available.

Spending last season out on loan with MK Dons, 20-year-old Parrott returned to Spurs over the summer to get underway with his pre-season preparations.

He put together a strong end to the campaign, notching 10 goals and seven assists (Transfermarkt) but could not inspire the Dons through the League One play-offs.

Now back with Spurs and with the first team for the tour of South Korea, Parrott will be keen to impress during pre-season in order to work his way into Antonio Conte’s thoughts.

The Irish striker will also be able to spend more time alongside last season’s Premier League Golden Boot winner Son and England captain Kane as he continues to develop in his young career.

Parrott has now given an insight into what the iconic pair are like, revealing that their ‘open’ nature means he is able to ask them any questions on his mind.

He told Football.London: “From when I first came in as a kid, just to watch them, let alone train with the guys like that day in, day out, was a massive help.

“Just to see the way they prepare, the way they play on the pitch, just trying to take things in. When I’m curious about stuff I’ll ask and they’re always open people who will do anything to help.”

For Parrott, there aren’t many better forwards out there to have as teammates and people he can turn to when looking for advice as a player.

Kane and Son being so approachable is not much of a surprise and it is good to see Parrott having the confidence to quiz them on what it takes, which should set him up well in his career going forward.
