Pascal Chimbonda predicts which PL teams will finish in top four this season

Former Tottenham defender, Pascal Chimbonda has predicted that the Lilywhites will still finish in the top four despite recent struggles in the Premier League.

Antonio Conte’s side are almost guaranteed a spot in the top four over the World Cup break, unless Man United managed to overhaul a 10-goal difference deficit. Tottenham have also booked a place in the Round of 16 of the Champions League against AC Milan in the new year.

However, the Lilywhites have been far from their best form over the last couple of months, and have arguably struggled to hit full gear this season at all.

Despite that, Chimbonda believes Spurs will be able to see off the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool to book a spot in the Champions League places for next season.

The Spurs legend has predicted that Chelsea will fall away in the race for the top four, while Spurs will be joined by Arsenal, Man United, and eventual league winners, Man City.

He told Lord Ping: “I’m worried about Chelsea. I don’t think they will finish in the top four – they will struggle to finish in the top six. I think City will win the league. I can’t see Arsenal being able to challenge them for the season and I expect them to fall away.

“I think United could come into it. My final top four would be City, United, Tottenham and Arsenal.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

The top four race is extremely difficult to predict at the moment. It really depends how the squads look after the World Cup. I’m sure some will be devastated by injuries and fatigue, while others will get lucky. I would still back Spurs to be up there come the end though.
