Paul Merson on who will win between Wolves and Spurs

Sky Sports football pundit Paul Merson has given his prediction on who he thinks will win the Premier League encounter between Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening.

Tottenham go into the match at Molineux having suffered a 1-0 defeat to champions Manchester City at Wembley on Monday in our last outing in the league.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have made an impressive start to life in the top flight and currently sit in tenth place after ten matches. On the flip side, Tottenham will be looking for nothing less than three points in order to keep the pressure on the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Merson as tipped Mauricio Pochettino’s side to come away from the Black Country with an important victory.

The Spurs boss is expected to make wholesale changes to the side that beat West Ham United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening, where the likes of Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela were all rested.

Merson told Sky Sports: “Spurs’ win at West Ham was a good result, considering the changes, but Monday night’s game against Manchester City was strange. It felt like an exhibition game.

“Tottenham are fighting for top four, that’s where they are at the moment, so this is a big game for them. I think Wolves have hit a brick wall, if I’m honest. We wax lyrical about how great they are at passing it around, but I worry for them in front of goal.

“They keep the ball, but don’t look like scoring. They keep it in nice places, but I just think Tottenham will be miles too good for them.

“Prediction: 1-3.”
