Paul Merson predicts four goals in Bournemouth vs Tottenham clash

Paul Merson has submitted his score prediction for Tottenham vs Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Attention now turns to another Premier League outing for Spurs following their 1-1 draw with Sunderland last weekend, a result that did little to lift the mood around the club.

A trip to the Vitality Stadium awaits, with Thomas Frank looking to turn a five-game winless run around as Spurs attempt to keep pace with the top five.

Ahead of the league encounter, former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has delivered his score prediction, and it is one many Spurs supporters will not welcome.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth prediction as Paul Merson backs home win

Writing for Sportskeeda, Paul Merson assessed Bournemouth’s recent performances and attacking threat, despite their poor run of results, before predicting a home win for the Cherries.

He wrote: “Bournemouth are a funny team. They are now 11 games without a win but had 12 shots against Chelsea in the first half.

“This team also scored two goals against Arsenal and hardly any other team has done that to the Gunners this season! Tottenham have a very good record away from home.

“But I just feel they will fall short in this game. Spurs are not good to watch as a team and Bournemouth have the flair in attack to trouble them.

“Antoine Semenyo is still a Bournemouth player and I expect this will be his last game for the club.

“It would be nice for him to sign off with a goal and a much-needed win for Bournemouth.”

Prediction: Bournemouth 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Pressure grows on Thomas Frank at Spurs

Thomas Frank cannot afford many more setbacks as pressure continues to build from Tottenham supporters.

The draw against Sunderland at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last time out was not met with cheers, with the Dane booed at full time.

Patience is beginning to wear thin, and if wins are not put on the board soon, Frank risks finding himself in serious trouble, even though he continues to retain backing from the Spurs hierarchy.
