Paul Scholes claims Tottenham star is ‘not going to leave’ the club

Paul Scholes has said that he expects Harry Kane to finish his career at Tottenham Hotspur despite the speculation surrounding the Tottenham striker’s future.

Kane is on course to win his third Premier League golden boot and also looks set to finish at the top of the assists charts.

The numbers that the 27-year-old has posted this season are quite remarkable considering the disappointing season that Tottenham have had so far.

Some reports have suggested that the striker is ready to quit the North Londoners this summer in favour of a move to a club that would challenge for silverware.

However, other reports have also indicated that Kane has accepted that he is going to stay at Tottenham since no club is likely to meet Daniel Levy’s valuation of the striker this summer.

Scholes suggested that potential suitors will be viewing Erling Haaland as a signing that offers more value for money due to his age while also admitting that he does not see Kane leaving Spurs.

The Man Utd legend told the Webby & O’Neill‘s YouTube channel: “If you sign him (Haaland) now you have ten years of him. With Harry Kane, in the peak of his career, but you are talking maybe two or three years as a top-class striker.

“When you get to 31 or 32, you are probably losing your legs a little bit. You are probably starting to drop deep. Like he’s starting to do – if you are looking towards the future then Haaland has to be the one.

“If he (Kane) wants to go then there are going to be clubs who are going to want him. He’s a brilliant goalscorer and a brilliant centre-forward.

“I just get the impression that he’s not going to leave. I don’t know why. I just get the feeling he’s going to be at Tottenham until he finishes.”
