Paulo Gazzaniga posts two-word Tweet after remaining at Spurs despite exit talk

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have enjoyed one of their most active transfer windows in recent memory.

Daniel Levy and Jose Mourinho were certainly busy during the summer having recruited Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilón, Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinícius to boost the squad which now boasts significant strength and depth.

The arrival of Joe Hart has caused one Tottenham player who enjoyed significant game time last season to drop further down the pecking order.

When Hugo Lloris suffered a dislocated elbow against Brighton in October, it propelled Paulo Gazzaniga into being the club’s number one.

The Argentine went on to play 25 times in all competitions last season (transfermarkt) but has found himself as third choice during the current campaign behind Lloris and Hart.

The 28-year-old was linked with a move away from North London during the summer transfer window with Premier League newcomers said to have held an interest, but a move to Craven Cottage failed to materialise (The Telegraph).

Gazzaniga was spotted hard at work in training at Hotspur Way on Tuesday and took to Twitter to suggest he will continue to work hard despite his uncertain future at the club.
