Pav set for Sporting Lisbon switch

Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is on the verge of a season-long switch to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.

According to reports in Portugal, the two clubs have agreed to split the Russian’s wages for the whole season.

The 28-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place at White Hart Lane and with Redknapp said to be chasing a new striker, Pavlyuchenko’s future at Spurs is in doubt.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. This makes no sense to me- unless we have definite replacement SECURED; if any one is to go on loan then it has to be Keane. I applaud Arry's desire to sharpen up the attack, because it is here that players really need to improve especially ball retention- Pav & Defoe ARE BOTH AWFUL. But it is clear to me we can't rely on the four strikers we have IT MUST BE SHAKEN UP including Defoe & Crouch. So could this be a bold move from Arry realising Pav isn't likely to suit the system he's going 2 be looking for this season??

  2. This is utter bull shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,you should know better, call yourself a spurs fan .
Co-incidense that we are playing them in a few days over in america.
What trying to become a cheating lying low life scumbug oops! sorry a press reporter
this has been about for quite a few days

  3. A great pity. He had an exceptional spell last season and the suppoters have always taken to him. Has looked good in pre-season too. I wish him well.

  4. Formulas:
Pav + Defoe + Crouch = Ok (not the best but we got 4th with that lot)
Keane + Defoe + Crouch = I am really nervous.

Pav is not ideally, but is capable of pulling something out of nothing. Defoe, Crouch are more bread and butter. Keane used to be able to pull something outta nothing, but he is well broken now.
