Report: Fabio Paratici left ‘blown away’ by Tottenham transfer target

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool both hold an interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the Premier League pair are among a number of clubs who are keen to sign the Portuguese this summer.

Tottenham’s former managing director of football, Fabio Paratici who still works for the club on a consultancy basis is said to be among those to have been ‘blown away’ by Neto’s displays for Gary O’Neil’s side during the current campaign.

Paratici has been instrumental in helping Tottenham to begin their long-awaited rebuild of the first team squad with a number of shrewd signings having taken place under the watch of the Italian including Pape Matar Sarr, Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario.

Neto was in superb form when he came up against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month when he turned out to be the creator for Gomes’ winner, showing his raw pace to race from inside his own half with the ball at his feet to condemn Ange Postecoglou‘s team to defeat.

Pedro Neto is a Tottenham transfer target

Wolves are not thought to be prepared to stand in the 24-year-old’s way of a Molineux exit this summer if a bid of between £50-60million is tabled.

Spurs are set to face competition for the former Braga player’s services from not only Liverpool but Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle have also shown an interest.

Pedro Neto would be a brilliant addition to the Tottenham ranks given his ability to play in a number of positions, pace is a key attribute that Postecoglou looks for in his attacking players to be able to operate his high-pressing style of play.
