‘People will never know’ – Spurs youngster reveals truth about Danny Rose

Tottenham youngster, Elliot Thorpe, has sent out a touching tweet about Danny Rose following the left-back’s exit from the club this week.

Spurs announced yesterday that Rose’s contract with the North London club had come to a close, along with goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga and a number of academy youngsters.

This brought an end to 14 years at Tottenham for Rose, with the club having signed him from Leeds United back in 2007. Danny went on to make 214 appearances and score 10 goals for the Lilywhites.

Not only this, but the left-back was a fixture in the Tottenham side across such a period of change in North London, including the Pochettino era and the Champions League Final. He was at the heart of everything good at the club for so many years.

Thorpe has now claimed that no one will ever know the truth about Rose and how much he did for the academy youngsters at Tottenham.

He tweeted: ‘It’s sad that people will never know how much Danny did for all of us young players, the most professional and humble player I’ve ever met & a great guy I could go to for anything! Thank you, Danny, you’ll be missed by all of us.’
