Pep Guardiola says ‘Tottenham are incredible’

Tottenham Hotspur may have lost their second place position today, but Man City manager Pep Guardiola has labelled the team as ‘incredible’.

Spurs overtook City after beating Newcastle 1-0 on Saturday, but a 3-1 win over Arsenal saw Pep’s side retake the spot.

Tottenham have somehow hauled themselves back into title contention this season, after seemingly falling off the radar by losing to Man United a few weeks ago.

Spurs dropped points against the Red Devils, and also suffered injuries to Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Lucas Moura, as well as having Son leave for the Asia Cup.

Their title credential seemed all but gone, however, they have managed to claw their way back, picking up more points than their rivals in recent weeks.

They now sit just two behind City and four behind League leaders Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola, a long time admirer of Spurs under Pochettino, has now been waxing lyrical about the team, after they fought late on to win their last three Prem games.

Pep said (Standard):  “Tottenham are incredible. Their mentality to fight and fight in the last minutes.”
