Some Spurs fans on social media are excited at the growing speculation linking the North London club with a potential move for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Kessie’s current deal runs out at the end of the season and the Rossoneri have so far been unable to convince the player to sign an extension.
According to reports, Antonio Conte has urged the North London club to snap up the Milan star in January.
90min claimed this week despite facing plenty of competition for the 24-year-old, Spurs believe that Conte’s arrival could help them clinch the deal for the midfielder.
This has also been backed up by sources in Italy, with journalist Rudy Galetti claiming that Tottenham are close to striking a deal with Milan for the Ivory Coast international.
Some Tottenham fans are over the moon to hear these reports, with many expressing excitement at the prospect of a Hojbjerg-Kessie partnership in the middle of the park.

Of all the midfield players we have been linked with (including Brozovic, McKennie, Kulusevski etc), Kessie is the obvious standout.
However, there will likely be plenty of competition for his signature if he does become available for a cut-price deal in January. So Spurs fans should not be getting ahead of themselves just yet.
