Peter Crouch sends classy message to Tottenham after announcing retirement

The likes of Fernando Llorente, Lucas Moura, Harry Kane and co will always be synonymous with the first ever Tottenham team to reach the Champions League final.

The 2018/19 squad went above and beyond, shattering the club’s previous record run to the quarter-finals back in 2011.

However, it is important to remember the players who started Spurs on their Champions League journey and few are more important than Peter Crouch.

Crouchy scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Man City at the Etihad to book Spurs’ place in the top four and the Champions League for the first time ever.

The big man would then go on to score the winner against AC Milan in the knockouts, before seeing red against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.

Crouch is a true legend of the club, but he decided to hang up his boots yesterday after a long and successful career.

After Spurs thanked him for his service, Crouchy responded with this classy and touching message.
