Injuries to Harry Kane and Dele Alli has dominated the headlines for the past week along with Son Heung-Min’s absence due to his involvement in the Asia Cup. The unavailability of the trio means that Spurs go into the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea severely short of attacking options.

However, there was some positive news today on the injury front as the club revealed that Lucas Moura, Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko are all back in training.

There was one other thing which some Spurs fans picked up on from the training pictures that the club released. Fans noted that 16-year-old Troy Parrot trained with the first team ahead of the game at Hotspur Way.

The striker who has represented the Republic of Ireland at U-17 level has had a stellar season so far for Tottenham’s U-18’s notching up 11 goals and 3 assists in just 7 matches. Parrot is highly rated at the club and the fact that Pochettino has him training with the first team is certainly an indication that he likes the look of the youngster.

Given Tottenham’s lack of options up front at the moment, Parrot might well be handed a place on the bench for the crucial game tomorrow evening.

  1. lorente is not good enough give parot a chance with lorente on the bench. You wont know if parot is good enough unless you give him a chance and try him out as a lone striker. Lorente could be brought on later if needed.
