Tottenham Hotspur are said to have hijacked Arsenal’s move for Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba (Daily Express).

Arsenal were said to be on the verge of agreeing a £27 million deal for the 18-year-old defender only for Spurs to ruin their plans.

Saliba’s agent Djibril Niang of ND Sports Management has taken to Instagram to post a ‘story’ on 12/7/19:

Our interpretation of the message is that the clock is now ticking and that time is running out for Arsenal.

Tottenham’s chief scout Steve Hitchen is a Ligue 1 expert and he and the club have been keeping a close eye on the young central defender (Football.London).

The Gunners defensive issues have been magnified after Laurent Koscielny refused to go on the clubs tour of the USA and is a reported target for French clubs Bordeaux, Rennes and Lyon (BBC).
