After nearly half a season of additional delays, Tottenham Hotspur finally managed to move into their brand new stadium earlier this month.

Last night, Brighton became the fourth side to play at the 62,062 capacity seater stadium when they put up a spirited defensive display which frustrated Spurs and nearly worked perfectly until Christian Eriksen found the bottom corner of the net in the 88th minute.

Before the match, Brighton’s social media team took to their official Twitter page to praise the new stadium – something you cannot see West Ham doing on Saturday through pure jealousy and instead have to resort to being excited about their new claret carpet.

It was refreshing to see another club acknowledge the work which has gone into Tottenham’s new home which is becoming somewhat of a fortress for Mauricio Pochettino’s side having won all four fixtures and are yet to concede a goal since returning to North London.
