Paulo Dybala has emerged as a prime transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur over the past 24 hours.

Tottenham are already reported to have agreed a fee with Juventus which is said to be worth £64.4 million (Sky Sports).

Dybala was in action for Juventus earlier this evening when he featured in their pre-season match against Serie C side Novara, where he found the back of the net.

The 25-year-old’s goal was assisted by Douglas Costa, who skipped his way to the byline before cutting the ball back for Dybala to finish low into the bottom corner with his left foot.

After the match, Costa took to Instagram to post a photo of the pair embracing after the goal along with a caption which translated into English as ‘Season 2019/29 Loading’ whilst also tagging Dybala into the post.

Whether Spurs can get a deal over the line for the Argentine before tomorrow’s 5pm deadline remains to be seen.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. It wouldnt be the first time weve been ked a merry dance in and around deadline day. If Dybala doesnt come in we must keep Eriksen at all costs next season. If Eriksen goes we need Dybala, Zayek, VDB or Fernandes in.

Right back, yet again, is a glaring problem going into next season but I dont think any single player can replace Eriksen, it will take 2 positions to cover him effectively. One creative central midfielder and 1 number 10 style free moving attacking creative midfielder. Getting the correct combination would actually strengthen us over Eriksen. Signing one for one would weaken us considerably.

  2. “Whether Spurs can get a deal over the line for the Argentine before tomorrow’s 5pm deadline remains to be seen‘.
Alex, please don’t end your articles with “remains to be see”. It’s a cliche, it’s inane and unnecessary.
