Eric Dier was a welcome addition to the Tottenham Hotspur team sheet for yesterday’s trip to Fulham.
The Spurs midfielder had been sidelined had been sidelined since early December after suffering with cute abdominal pain, later diagnosed as appendicitis.
Dier had to undergo surgery to remove his appendix which had kept him out of action until he was named as a substitute at Craven Cottage.
He got his first taste of action in over a month when he came on for the disappointing Erik Lamela in the 79th minute
The appearance was Dier’s 200th in Tottenham colours and took to his Instagram account to reveal that the nature in which Spurs managed to win the game deep into injury time courtesy of a Harry Winks header is what he has missed while he has been recuperating.
