Erik Lamela has experienced yet another season which has been hampered by injury after only managing to appear in 18 of Tottenham’s 35 Premier League fixtures this season to date.
The winger took to Instagram earlier this afternoon to share a photo of himself receiving treatment on his left hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since early last month.
Some fans had hoped that he had put his problems behind him at the start of the season when he went through somewhat of a purple patch when he scored five goals in seven appearances in all competitions.
Hopefully, the former Roma player can get back onto the pitch before the end of the season and finish the campaign on a positive note.
Lamela’s continuous injury problems are certainly a concern for both the player, club and supporters. Despite his track record for missing substantial periods of action, he was rewarded with a new four-year contract in July (Sky Sports).
