Tottenham Hotspur winger, Heung-min Son, was back on the pitch and amongst the goals last night despite the emotional ordeal he went through on Sunday at Goodison Park.
The South Korean was visibly distraught after his challenge on Everton’s Andre Gomes led to the Everton man sustaining a fracture-dislocation in his ankle.
The Spurs man was sent off and left the pitch in tears, before the red card was overturned later in the week following an appeal from the North London club.
Some people, including former striker Gary Lineker have now suggested that the 27-year-old sent Gomes a message after the first of his two goals against Red Star last night.
Tottenham Hotspur attacker Heung-Min Son’s celebration for his first goal of the game looks like an apology to Everton midfielder Andre Gomes. ???

Son scores a super goal and goes to the camera and says sorry down the lens, presumably aimed at Andre Gomes. Nice touch.

Opinion
If that was the intention of Son, it was a classy gesture towards the former Barcelona player who is now recuperating following surgery.
It was brilliant to see Son back amongst the goals and focusing on what he does best, enjoying his football with a smile on his face.
