Tottenham Hotspur fans feared the worst when Harry Kane was left clutching his ankle following a heavy challenge from Fabian Delph during the Champions League quarter-final first leg.
The fears were confirmed when Spurs revealed that the forward had suffered a significant ankle injury with it expected to keep him out for the remainder of the season unless Mauricio Pochettino’s side can make it to the Champions League final.
Kane posted a photo of himself on his Instagram story relaxing at his pool, where his left ankle could still be seen heavily bandaged.
Supporters will be hoping that Kane will be back on the pitch sooner rather than later, but only when he is fully recovered rather than risk another setback.
