Photo: ‘Hungry for more’ – Georges-Kevin Nkoudou sends message to supporters

Many fans including myself were left surprised when Mauricio Pochettino decided to name Georges-Kevin Nkoudou in his squad for the Audi Cup tournament in Germany.

The winger had been left out of the club’s recent tour to the Far East to discuss a possible exit from the club ahead of the new season (Spurs official).

Nkoudou, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Monaco has failed to make an impression at Spurs since his move from Marseille for £9million in 2016 (BBC).

He played the second half of the 1-0 win against Real Madrid yesterday evening when he came on in place of Heung-min Son and could be set to get more minutes under his belt tonight when Spurs face hosts Bayern Munich in the final.

It remains to be seen whether Pochettino is set to give Nkoudou yet another opportunity to finally prove his worth or if it is a case of building his fitness to make him more of an attractive proposition to be able to sell.

Nkoudou took to Instagram after the match where he claimed that is was good to be back and is hungry for more game time.
