Former Tottenham chairman Lord Alan Sugar is one man who is never far off the media spotlight. These days, the business magnate is usually talking politics or bantering Piers Morgan if he isn’t busy firing someone in the boardroom.

As anyone who follows the Apprentice host on social media will attest to, he is also a fervent Spurs fan who constantly tweets about the club’s games and wears his heart on his sleeve.

His latest social media post once again proved that he is never shy to admit where his loyalties lie. Lord Sugar tweeted out a picture of him going cycling with his 15-year-old grandson and Spurs fans on social media loved the gear he was wearing.

Check out his tweet below:

Lord Sugar was chairman of Tottenham from 1991 to 2001 before he was replaced by Daniel Levy after selling his shares in the club to ENIC. However, it is evident that selling the club has done nothing to dent the 71-year-old’s passion for the Lillywhites.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Nah, The first 20 twitter comments are taking the pi55 out of him. Out of the 30-35 friends and family I know who support spurs, not one had a second of time for sugar. Doesn’t have the first clue about football and, other than steadying the ship financially after the totally appalling scholar era, he never really spent a dime on Spurs. That’s why we were left behind when the premier league started and it’s taken us 20 years to get close to catching up with the big boys again. Sugar my arse.

  2. He’d never watched Tottenham before he bought them. He called them Tottenham Hotspurs and thought they had won the double in 1962. Even now he knows absolutely nothing about football. He turns up at WHL and tweets nonsense. Why are famous people always ‘fervent’ or ‘massive’ fans?
