The vast majority of Spurs fans will not need reminding how close they came to signing Paulo Dybala from Juventus in the summer, after having a £64.4m bid accepted (Sky Sports).
However, the North London club could not get the deal over the line, which was said to be largely down to the player’s current image rights arrangement (Independent).
Since then, Dybala has been in good form for the Old Lady, playing 17 games, scoring seven, and assisting another four (Transfer Markt).
The Argentine appears to have now taken a break from Italy to travel across to London with his partner, which is bound to get some Spurs fans excited and kick start the January transfer window rumour mill.
