Maurizio Pochettino has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to his father after the 18-year-old scored last night.
Pochettino was named in the starting eleven for Tottenham Under-23’s match against Wolves last night and while Troy Parrott will have stolen the headlines for opening the scoring in a rare start at this level, it was arguably the son of the former Spurs boss who impressed the most.
The winger was a constant threat down the right-hand side of the Wolves defence and played a pin-point cross into the box for Parrott’s opener.
Pochettino got his just reward for his performance in first-half injury time when he fired home following a pass from Mukendi in what turned out to be the winning goal in a 3-2 victory for the North Londoners.
After the match, the youngster posted a photo of himself on his Instagram story celebrating his goal, which he dedicated to Mauricio, who was yesterday celebrating his 48th birthday.
